A jacket left behind after practice. A backpack misplaced between classes. A laptop that holds homework, memories, and dreams.
Yet too often, these items sit quietly in a lost & found room — waiting, and never reunited with their owner.
How It Started
I’m currently a high school student. During one summer vacation, I kept thinking about how common lost items are — and how unnecessarily difficult it is to return them.
I had seen piles of unclaimed belongings. School-wide emails sent to thousands of students. People who genuinely wanted to help — but had no way to contact the owner.
It didn’t seem like a technology problem. It felt like a connection problem.
That question became an idea. That idea became action. And that action became myLostfound.com.
Why I Built This
I didn’t want this to be just another idea that fades away after summer ends. I wanted to build something real. Something useful. Something that strengthens community.
Technology should make kindness easier — not harder.
Our Mission
To use simple technology — like QR codes and secure notifications — to reconnect people with what matters most.
We aim to modernize lost & found systems, protect privacy, reduce waste, and empower good Samaritans.
A Small Step, A Bigger Vision
This project began with one student, one idea, and one summer. But the vision is bigger.
Imagine campuses where lost items are returned quickly. Imagine public spaces where kindness is easier to act on. Imagine systems that work not just efficiently — but compassionately.
And this is just the beginning.
